From the Lodge:
The United States has over 13,000 lodges, each one will extend the warm hand of brotherhood to the community and humankind.

From the Worshipful Master:
Tidings from the East. I am honored and proud to be a member of Oakland Lodge and to once again serve as your Worshipful Master. Brother Dean Jessup’s guidance and enthusiasm for our craft accents Masonry’s code of “Brotherly Love and Friendship”. Not only has he increased our enthusiasm and participation in ritual work but in continuation of his brotherly love and friendship we now welcome Cumberland Lodge #726 to share our temple. It’ll be a challenge to fill the shoes of Brother Dean and those before him, but I’ll do my best. I am looking forward to working with my officers and brethren to continue the search for “Further Light in Masonry” through fellowship with all brothers and brother lodges. As we embark on 2010, Resolutions are in order. One of mine is to reach out to each brother in our lodge to fellowship with us through email, phone, postal or in lodge. Suggested resolution: Let us communicate Masonicly with one another more this year. I’ll look forward to fellowship with you this coming year. There will be a M.M. degree on Jan 19th at 7pm downtown at the Free Mason Hall 525 north Illinois 3rd floor North hosted by Monument Lodge #657 in Full Dress Form. They would like any and all WM and PM who would like to HELP to do so and anyone else who knows any parts. They are also wanting to do this in the non Guilty version as a lot of masons have not seen this. Lodge of Instruction will be held Wednesday March 10 with Keystone Lodge. All officers are encouraged to attend as well as any brethren. Check the trestle board for up-coming interests." Please peruse our site and take note of coming events. Our lodge has been very busy again this year raising new and excited brothers. We do have a light meal after our stated meetings and degree work. Our lodge is handicap accessible. We have been receiving visitors from lodges within the state and from neighboring states. During the Christmas season we support the Marine Corp Toy-For-Tots program and collect food for a local food bank. Always glad to see visiting brethren because this shows that Masons are active and looking to spread the fellowship. Hope that everyone has a safe and enjoyable life and please stop for a visit.
